23.09           

1st Day   - Arrival at New Delhi Airport/ Stay in Old Delhi Hotel

2nd Day – Flight to Chandigarh in the morning (75 min)
Jeepshuttle to Manali – ca 7 hours Welcome Dinner. Night in Old Manali

3rd Day – Easy going after the long trip. Visit of the HADIMBA Temple( local goddess) in the Dhungri forest in the afternoon.                      N in Old Manali

26.09                                                                                                                                                                                         4th Day -Daytrekk to the Glamlang Meadow with Picknick. Discover the magical Manali valley on this moderate walk. Ca 4 hours roundtrip.       N in Old Manali

5th Day - Start of the Jeepsafari to Spiti. On the first day we cross the Rohtang Pass(4000m) and enter the rough and wildromantic Valley of the   Chandra River. Night at a camp close to the Chandratal Lake/ 4200m

28.09                                                                                                                                                                                                                6th Day -  We spent the day around the uncomparabale Moonlake = Chandratal. Explore the fascinating area and take a quick dip into the icy      waters. It will refreh you forever. In the afternoon we cross the Kunzum Pass(4550m) and enter the Spiti Valley. The first village of Spiti,              Lossar is  our host for the first night in little Tibet.(3-4 hours drive)

7th Day – Welcome to a forgotten world of high spirits and majestic nature. We drive slowly along the Spiti River and enjoy the moonlike            landscapes. On the way we visit the ancient Key Monastery nestled on a small hill and overlooking the whole valley.  Our Day ends in Kaza, Capital of Spiti. A bit more modern but still charming with his melange of human beings. Night in Kaza ( 2 ½ hours Drive)

8th day - We continue our trip to the fascinating Dhankar Monastary, build in a huge rock wall and reach Tabo, the spiritual headquartersof Spiti in the evening. More then 1000 years old is this templecomplex, with statues of all Boddhisatvas sitting enthroned in the mainhall. The actual Dalai Lama already reserved a cell here for his retirement. N in Tabo

9th .Day - Offday in Tabo. Feel the energy of the holy monastery or climb up to the meditation caves, overlooking the ancient structures of the   vibrating Tabo Gompa complex. N in Tabo

10th Day - On our way back to Manali we spend a night at the highest with a road connected Village in Himachal Pradesh, Komik(4700m)    medidate in the silent and sacred Monastery and move through the village, unchanged in hundreds of years.  Air cannot be purer than here overlooking the Himalayas like from an eagles nest. N in Komik ( 2 hours Drive)

11th Day -  On our way back via the Kunzum and Rohtang Pass on many serpentines to Manali. Enjoy real mountain roads(7 hours drive)        N in Old Manali

12.th Day - Restday in Manali. Walk around the village and nearby meadows or do shopping in dazzling Manali Town. N in Old Manali

13thDay - Trekking Day to the mystical Pulga Valley on the river Beas leftbank. Be part of the himalayan wilderness. Picknik in the forest.         N in Old Manali

14th Day - Halfday trip to the Solang valley, the highest of the Kullu area. We  take the only cablecar of the valley and enjoy majestic views at       3700m with the Himalaya Range and Ladakh in the north and the lush green Kullu Valley at our feet. N in Old Manali

15th Day – Getting ready for the world famous energetic and colurful Dusshera Festival ,where 250 local gods pay their repects to chief goddess HADIMBA and Lord Ragunath. N in Kullu (Drive to Kullu, 50 min)

16th Day – Starting Day of  the Kullu Festival. Early in the morning we meet Goddess Hadimba outside of the town. Soon the messenger of the  Kullu King presents his invitation to the Goddess. We follow her pilgrimage to the palace through the Bazar with thousands of devotees.         In the afternoon we take part of the God`s gathering at the Dhalpur Festival ground. Leaded by Lord Ragunath and Hadimba all the 250             Gods will move down to the river with horns and drums of the villagers and followers. N in Kullu

17th Day – We stay in Kullu and stroll around the festival ground with hundred village gods residing in their small camps. Shops and foodstalls all over the big fair, all filled with music of the temple bands. Your heart will beat in the rythm of the sacred drums. N in Kullu

18th Day -  On our way to Delhi by Volvo sleeper Bus.(11 hours)

19th Day – Last Day in India and chance to shop , wonder and wander in Old Delhi`s Bazars. N in Delh

 20.thDay – Departure to whereever you want from New Delhi Airport
